Rub a dub dub, Five girls in a tub!

Thanksgiving at the cabin consisted of 30 people and 3 bedrooms. We had five babies in pack-n-plays and they were put in the game closet, the closet under the stairs (aka The Harry Potter room), and every nook and cranny possible. People slept wherever there was an empty cushion. We ate and played and went sledding and played cards and ate some more. It was a dream vacation for all these little cousins! Since Caidence was born we've had 6 little girls born in the last 2 years. And grandkid number 20 is on his way. What a fun family!

8 Months

We did finally get Jordyn a new car seat (two actually. I found one online at Target but it was on backorder for a few weeks so I gave up and found the same one brand new on eBay, bought it, and then got back on Target to cancel the order and they had just happened to release the order that day and shipped it out. So I kept both and sold Caid's old one.) But I have to keep up the pictures in her old one to see how big she's getting...and she is growing so fast!
This is what happens when you don't strap her in and try to get a picture.
*crawls everywhere now!
*loves to spit and talk and make sure you know she's there
*still sleeps like a champ, 12-14 hours at night and 2-3 naps during the day
*happy, pleasant, easy
*momma's girl-if I walk in the room, she wants me to hold her. If I walk out of the room, she'll crawl after me
*LOVES food-wants to eat whatever we are eating and has a meltdown if you stop feeding her before she's done
*loves to ride in the cart at stores and smile and laugh at people

Happy Halloween!

A little late, I forgot I had these on my camera. We carved pumpkins and Caid enjoyed it a lot more this year. Last year she didn't want to touch the innards. This year she wanted to taste it. And she scored trick or treating. We started in the rain and figured we'd just do a few houses so she could have the experience, but it stopped raining and she just wanted to do a "couple more" so we ended up doing an entire neighborhood until it got dark.

Our "Little" Franklin

Franklin's 18 month stats: (yes he is one of our children:) )
120 Pounds...and still growing
Franklin is such a good dog! He is still a puppy, which we forget with his size, but he is nowhere near as hyper as when we first got him. He's great with the kids, we hardly ever keep him in the kennel, even when we aren't home, and other than the occasional dumping out the garbage, he is usually well behaved when left home alone. We took him to the vet last week and had a biopsy on a lump on his head. They said it's a cyst, but we shouldn't have to worry about it unless it gets bigger.
He has done his share of damage around the house, though. Eating money, dumping garbage, shredding rugs, eating carseat covers, ruining blinds when he tries to lift them with his head to see who's outside. A few months ago, during the summer, we had the kitchen window open and were outside talking to some family in the driveway. He sat barking at us through the screen wanting to come out. Finally, he realized his own strength and jumped through the screen, ripping it off, so he could come say hi. He's also gotten out a few times to go say hi to joggers passing by or to hurdle cars driving. My parents got a good laugh watching from the front porch while Zach went chasing Franklin who was chasing a car down the road. This is how he spends most of his day, random, awkward sleeping positions.
The newest place he found to sleep is in our closet.

Ahhh...

This is how I spent my morning. Zach and the girls gave me a gift card to Sego Lily Spa for Mother's Day (yes, 6 months ago and I just barely got around to using it.) It was straight out of tv: slippers and robe, meditation room in front of the fire and waterfall wall, sauna and steam room after the massage. And the best part? They got the gift card enough for 2 massages so I get to go back!
