Jordyn's Christmas Program

Jordyn had her Preschool Christmas program today. The parents were invited for snack time so we had tuna fish sandwiches and oranges and goldfish with them. Then they sang us a few songs and gave us an ornament they decorated and wrapped themself. Last week she was pretty mad because Will decided he liked Aubrey instead of her. Today was much better, he decided he liked her again. But he's not her boyfriend. And will keep reminding us. While blushing and smiling war to ear.

Trey Bug

This boy is a major goofball. He's getting so much personality. He's still clingy and cuddly and a mama's boy, but loves to chase the girls and play with them and tease!! He started "walking" about a month ago, but will only take a few steps here and there. He prefers to speed crawl instead. He's a man of few words, but lots of grunts. He fights getting in the car seat, loves grandma and grandpas, throws balls (or anything) all day long, and is a very finicky eater. Some nights he sleeps great, other nights I wake up feeling like a zombie. He is definitely all boy. He's rough and tumble and tackles and jumps on you and teases and fights and sweet as can be. Love our little man!

Trax and City Creek

We went downtown with Kalee to see Alex at work and see City Creek at Christmas. We took the kids on Trax and they loved riding the train for the first time. It was super crowded on the way there and Trey saw everyone standing holding onto the handles. He wanted to hold it so bad so Aunt Kalee helped him on the way home. We went and saw the candy windows at Macy's, tried and failed to see the fountains, and went to see Santa. But once again, failed. Apparently it was dog night. The kids got turned away because the dogs got first priority to sit on Santa's lap. Hmm... And there was quite the line outside his cottage.

Cute Caidence

Caidence is growing up into quite the amazing little lady! She is working so hard in school. I got a call from her principal that her teacher had turned in her name for her amazing work and she got a certificate and prize. Then when I went to drop off some diabetes supplies the secretary talked my ear off about how amazing and responsible she is. We decided to surprise her with Wendy's and stay and eat lunch with her. It was pretty awesome to get to spend some time with her during the day. Full day school is pretty long sometimes!
We were driving to school and Caidence said to me, "I don't think we should ever get a real Christmas tree. The are living things and if we cut one down we're destroying the environment so we should just use a fake tree."

Happy birthday to me!

I had a pretty great birthday week. I went out to lunch with my friend Kristi from hair school. Kaden was born 9 days before Trey. So eating sushi with two wild one year olds was a joke! But always fun to get together.
Zach had his last semesters finals and found out he passed them on my birthday. Best present ever!! We have a nursing school graduate! That night we went to Jenny McKenzie (the Sugar Babies filmmaker) house for dinner. We love their family and have become really close!
That weekend I chose for my birthday date to go bowling and to dinner. It was the girls first time and they killed me! (The bumpers and ramp did give them a slight advantage, but I didn't help my case at all.) It was a pretty great number 32!

I could get used to this!

The weather this year has been amazing! I think we've had snow maybe 2 days, but this was December 7 and we were on a bike ride without coats. For a mama having to run errands with kids, not having to bundle them up and haul them around in snow and slush has been a dream! But this too shall pass...

Lights at Temple Square

There's a reason I only do this once a year. It is one of those things you think sounds so fun until you get there and fight the crowds and parking and keeping track of your kids. We went with the Rideout cousins and really did have fun and had great weather, but that just meant that many more people showed up because of the great weather. We can check it off our list of things done this season!
