More remodel...

These aren't the best pictures, but I painted, antiqued, and put a new handle on the cupboard in my bathroom.I've never had a matching bedroom set or bedding I liked since we've been married. We finally got some matching bedroom furniture from Zach's parents cabin and I found some bedding I loved! Once I had that, it gave me the motivation I needed to finish painting!

My Little Dumpster Diver

On many occasions I've caught Jordyn going through the garbage to find food. It's always fresh and whatever is right on top, but seriously! I feed her, I promise!!This was a cupcake that I had thrown away and she dug it out and licked off the frosting about as fast as I could grab it out of her hand.Searching for her next meal...

Oh, the blankie. Jord has become quite attached. My fabulous friend Kristi gave each of the girls a handmade (by her mom) blanket when they were born and it hasn't left Jordyn's side since. I usually only give it to her at nap and bedtime, but she sticks her little hand through the crib and pulls it out to drag all over the house. She's always been a thumb sucker, but the nice thing with the blanket is now she only sucks it if she's very tired and holding her blanket. And she is an amazing sleeper! The only thing I have to do to get her to go to bed is hand her the blanket and she cuddles up with it and goes right to sleep!

Cabin Scavenger Hunt

While we were at the cabin for the 4th of July, we had a picture scavenger hunt. Here is just some of the pictures, and most are better left unexplained...

Look who's {finally} walking!!

Jord has let us know from the beginning she will walk when, and only when, she wants to. We would hold her hands and try and get her to walk and she would lift her feet off the ground and scream. She had no desire. She finally took her first steps June 13, just before her 15 month mark, and then very few since. Then earlier this week I looked over and she was walking all over the house. Maybe she's been a closet walker this whole time and just crawls when she's around people! But she claps and smiles and is so proud of herself now and she walks all over the place. And I couldn't be happier because I can not tell you how many pairs of pants and leggings we have ruined from crawling around outside this summer. Holes, dirt, scraped knees. Yay for walking!

My Crazy Family

This is what you look like when you've enjoyed yourself at the cabin! With Jami and Kolby and the girls living up in Seattle, we don't get EVERYONE together very often. Even when they come to visit, it's very rare that everyone can get their schedules to work. For the 4th of July we were able to head up to the cabin for the weekend and there was not a dull moment. Dutch oven cook off, 4-wheeling, scavenger hunt, water balloon fights (resulting in too much chaos for one dog to handle, which then resulted in a trip to the hospital and 10 stitches due to a dog bite), guns, bow and arrows, and singing around the campfire. It's probably been over 5 years since our last family picture so here it is, my crazy family complete with all brothers, sisters, spouses, and kids!
