After the parade we all gathered at Mom and Dad's house. It started out as an innocent water balloon fight between the kids. Jord was all for the action of throwing at others...
but wasn't so sure when she got to be the target.
Zach and his dad were setting up my tents for camp, getting everything ready for me so the boys tried to hit them with balloons from across the yard.
We stayed in the safe zone, next to Dad on the porch.
Strider was trying to sneak up on his dad...
...who had the hose ready.
I thought I was safe. I went to "help" with the tents. I kept my phone in my hand to make sure I wouldn't be a target. And then all chaos broke loose. Who was I kidding? Kalee tackled me to the ground, took my phone, and Alex dumped a full bucket on me!
Alex filled the cooler and soaked Kalee. He may be the only person our freakishly strong sister can't tackle...
...so she went after Jeremy in the safe zone.
And next was Jodi's turn. She'd been hiding behind her camera, but Kalee tricked her into setting it down and ws trying to get her off of the porch. Jodi clung onto the pole like a koala bear. She eventually couldn't withhold the strength of our much younger, much stronger sister!
And once Zach was no longer working on the tents, the boys pounced.
The kids finished up with naked yoga...
...and the rest of us finished up with a redneck picnic in the driveway.
After we recovered from one party, we headed to a bbq with Zach's family. I didn't take any pictures the whole day, just stole all the ones Jodi took, so I didn't get any of my other family. I am so amazingly lucky to have 2 such great families! I don't feel like its a pain to fit in so much on holidays to be with both families. In fact, I'm sad if I have to miss any gathering with either family. We get together with both as much as we can. They are our best friends. All of the cousins are our kids best friends. We definitely lucked out in the family departement!!
