Birthday Exstravaganza

First off, I know she is only one and won't remember her birthday but I don't really care. We went to Iggys on Caid's actual birthday with both grandparents and Kalee and Alex. As you can see, she really enjoyed herself!

Homemade monkey cake. I had to take a picture because this may be last time she ever gets such an extravagant cake.
Of course it has to be 80 degrees all week and then the day I plan to do a party at the park it is freezing! So thanks to all that came to humor me.

I need to take Caid to get her one year old pictures done but I thought I'd give it a shot and take some. She kept pulling the hat off, the tutu was scratchy, so we didn't do very well but it was a good attempt!

I love watching how she picks up on things. This weekend she put her hand up to her head like a phone and said "hello" so we gave her a phone to play with and she will sit there and talk with such animation! This particular conversation seems to be very intense.

Mr. and Mrs. Faamoe

First off, gorgeous, I know! Not fair. She did her bridals at the Capital and brought up Alex's beloved Harley. They turned out so fun!

The famous photo, walking out the Temple doors as husband and wife

The reception was not a typical reception, it was a major party! All the "Palawngi" (white people) were saying how we need to definitely rethink the way we do weddings. There was so much food, like more than you could imagine: chicken, beef, tripe, rice, chow mein, shrimp in coconut milk, collared greens, cookies, 20 cakes (yes 20, they have one for each year of the brides age), 50 gallons of punch... They had a money dance where people just walk up and throw money at you (and they scored big time!), lots of Samoan dances by his cousins, and then below are some awesome videos! The first is a tear jerker! My dad and his brothers sang and played the guitar and I must say the rest of us got cheated to not have my dad sing to us! The second is my brother in law Kolby singing, and the third is the WHITE BOY slap dance which they nailed! The last is the song my dad and Kalee danced to sung by my grandma and Aunt Jolie.

One Year!!
What a great year we've had! And I can't believe it's been a year already! Caidence is close to walking, but isn't quite interested. If you try and hold her hands, she won't go far. She'd rather get down on crawl on her own because its much faster. She waves and says bye bye, mom, dad, makes monkey sounds and dog and cow sounds, blows kisses, gives high five, loves to read, please and more in sign language, and always wants to be around people. She hates to be alone. We love you baby!
