20 Week Ultrasound

We went in to my sister in laws work about a month ago and got a sneak peek and the ultrasound tech was pretty sure it was a boy, but wasn't definite. We went into our official ultrasound crossing our fingers she was right since we had already starting shopping, naming, and convincing the girls that they were going to love having a brother.
Half way there!!
We were able to take the girls with us and they were so excited! Five minutes into the ultrasound, they realized no baby was really coming home with us today and these black and white cameras were pretty boring.
This baby is a mover!! The tech couldn't believe how much he was moving all over! His head would be on one side one minute and then completely rotated the next. The little legs were just kicking and kicking and arms were waving and grabbing his face and giving me fair warning of the active baby we have to come. :)
The second she put the camera on my stomach, this was the view we got. I knew right away it was definitely a boy. She said sometimes it's impossible to keep it a secret from those parents not wanting to know when the baby is so proud to show. He could not be more healthy. Everything looked fantastic and he's just growing like crazy! Can't wait to meet our busy little brother!!

Sisterly Love

These two are the best of friends! They play and play and fight and play all day long! They love sharing a bed and room (most of the time) and are very protective of each other. It's the sweetest thing walking in to check on them at night and seeing them cuddled up together in bed or hearing them laugh and play and giggle when they are supposed to be going to sleep!
The other day I was doing laundry and Jordyn came in. "Mom, I need to go potty and Caidence won't get off the toilet. She told me to just go outside and pee on the grass." Yep, these sisters sure love each other!

Happy Birthday Jordy!!

Since Jord was born on St. Patrick's Day, she not only gets presents from us, but the Leprechaun makes a special delivery on her birthday! Caid loves it since it's no fun watching someone else get all the attention. :)
We only do a party every other year and this year was a date night year. Jord picked going to dinner and a movie so we went to see "Oz: The Great and Powerful" since she is loving the original "Wizard of Oz" right now. Caid wanted to pick out her own present to give Jordyn so I took her shopping and gave her a budget. She scanned every single toy aisle, multiple times, to make sure she found the perfect present. I think she succeeded. She found her a Tinkerbell tea set, a pack of gum, and a pack of Skittles.
We gave her a Princess Castle and all the princesses. It was also a success. The girls played with it so much the batteries died out 4 days later.
We took her to Red Robin while Uncle Alex was working and got her some Mud Pie. After we'd been eating it and he came back from helping other tables (while the girls would yell across the restaurant "Alex...stinks!!") he came back to get a bite and she told him she didn't save him any. He told her there were 30 in the back and he was going to go back and eat them all. Without missing a beat, she said, "And you'll get fired! Haha!"
I can't believe Jordy is already 3! She is still tiny in size, but FULL of sass and personality! She loves to make us laugh and whenever she is getting in trouble she will do whatever she can to make us laugh to get out of it.
She takes after her mother!! On a daily basis, she will grab a blanket and lay down on the heater vent to get warmed up. Sometimes it's the perfect place for a nap!
Some of her latest quotes:
While driving we saw some birds flying and said, "I saw those birds flying by our house before!" I answered, "For real?" and her response, "No, for fake."

Jord got a Doc McStuffins dr. kit for her birthday from Kalee and Alex. She was using the stethoscope to listen to my belly and hear the baby. She started going, "Oink! Oink!" and then told me, "You're having a baby pig!!"

We took the kids to see a play of the Little Mermaid. At the end, Ariel and Prince Eric kiss. When we got to the car she was just going on about this kiss. I asked her if it was gross and she goes, "No, it was beautiful!"
