Merry Christmas!!

Christmas could not have been more perfect this year! Well, maybe if Jordyn hadn't have gone in the basement Christmas Eve and seen her presents, but other than that it was perfect. Lots of parties, Zach passed his finals so he was enjoyable :) , the kids just kept telling us thank you and that it was the best Christmas ever.

Jord Quotes

We were on the freeway and Caid was telling Jordyn that the freeway meant we could drive as fast as we wanted. I showed them a speed limit sign and explained what it meant. Jordyn got very concerned and told me, "Follow the rules, mom! I don't want you to get 'rrested. I still love you!"

Trey was making noises and the girls were playing with him. Jordyn got so excited and said, "Trey just said 'hóla!' Our baby speaks Spanish!"

On my birthday, Jordyn asked how old I was. I told her 31 and she got so excited for me. "That means you're big enough to reach the candy bowl from the top shelf now!"

I always tell the girls what their options are, whether it's food, what to wear, what to clean first. :) At lunch time Jordyn came up to me before I had the chance to ask her what she wanted. She said, "Mom these are my only options. I want either a cupcake or goldfish crackers. You can pick what I get, but those are my options."

Four Months

I love when their personalities start to come out. Trey is still very much a mama's boy and wants to be held a good portion of the day. But he does like to lay in his little jungle gym and play with the girls. Jordyn will put blankets over the top and climb inside with him and play fort. He also gets super fussy around bedtime but as soon as I lay him on our bed he gets a huge smile and knows its bedtime. We also get lots of smiles first thing in the morning. We got his first real laugh on November 27. It doesn't happen very often, but it's the cutest little giggle when he does laugh. He's still getting up twice a night to eat, but we aren't up long so it's not too bad. He takes a short morning nap, a long afternoon nap, and a short nap at night, but pretty much only if he's being held since he falls asleep while nursing. Hopefully once he starts rolling and crawling, he'll be a little more independent and will be happier to play without being held 24/7, as much as I love the cuddles!
