St. George Getaway!!

We went down to St. George a few weeks ago and stayed at Zach'z aunts condo with four other couples. Lots of sun, lots of food, lots of babies!

Swimming

Teisa invited us over to go swimming and our girls had so much fun together! They are both very sassy and very similar so it's fun to see them battle it out, but they usually get along very good and have a lot of fun playing together!

Our First "Campout"

We decided to take advantage of our Summer nights and have our first camping experience...in the backyard. Caid just kept yelling "I get to sleep in a tent?!" We didn't get to do a campfire with smores and hot dogs, but it was still fun. (For some of us.) Me and Jordyn slept great, she slept the whole night, but Zach and Franklin's air mattress went flat and Caid kicked Zach all night and ended up on the ground in between the two mattresses. But I'm sure we'll be doing it again many more weekends!

Quiet Time

I can no longer tell Caidence that she needs a nap without a fight. My new trick (however she is starting to catch on) is to tell her she needs "quiet time." I tell her she needs to go in her room for a while and lay in bed. She can read books or watch "Dora" but has to stay in bed until I come get her. Without fail, she's usually asleep within 5 minutes. And here's Franklin during his "quiet time."If only I could get all three of my kids to have quiet time at the same time...

Just Like Mom

Of course she learned this from me. I always cook in the kitchen with my red high heels! But it may be a mystery as to what we're eating. Caid decided to tear the labels off all our canned food.

Stop. Drop. Roll.

Our playgroup this week was a visit to the fire station. We had a class on fire safety (and the majority of our kids are under the age of 3 so it was more of a reminder for the moms) and then they got to play around in the fire truck.

Wheeler Farm

Part 1:
I finally got around to taking the kids to Wheeler Farm a few weeks ago with my childhood friend Teisa and her cute little girls (not the random twins in the first picture.) I love Facebook just for the fact that I have been able to reconnect with friends that I haven't heard from in years! And now me and Teisa live so close again and have two girls both around the same age. Caidence has no fear. She would stick her hand in every animals pen to pet them.

Caidence and Emie More than once she would run up and try and give the geese hugs (and more than once almost got bit)Part 2:

We went back with my sister in law Emily and her kids. Tractor rides, picnic, feeding the ducks. We had a good two hours of entertainment and finally wore them out enough that when we got in the car, Caidence told me she was tired and asked if we could just go home and watch Dora now. The pony rides were closed down for the day so we found the next best thing. Doesn't she look excited to be on a wooden horse?

More Caid quotes to remember...

I made Caid a quesadilla for lunch. When she finished, she asked for more "cheesadilla." When I gave her more she took a bite and goes, "Ah, I'm so happy!"

We've been housesitting/babysitting for the last little while. They have a home theater that we've been taking full advantage of. During a movie the other night I fell asleep for about an hour. Caid was in the same room with me the entire time, but when I woke up she came and gave me a huge hug and said "Good morning mom. I missed you so so much!"

When Caid wants to cuddle while we're holding her, she'll ask for your seatbelt, which means to put your arm around her stomach.

We went to the Dr. and as we were walking into the room, she told the nurse "I'm poopy. Can I have a shower?" She had to get her temperature taken and they were doing it under her arm. For some reason this was very traumatic and she was freaking out. When we were leaving she told the nurse "Thank you for my armpit!"

Does anyone know how to get your blog printed into a book? Then I won't have to feel as guilty about my failed attempts at scrapbooking!
