Jordy Quotes

Jord is at that age where I could pretty much write down every single thing she says because it's so funny. She is just so witty and knows how to make people laugh!

Jordyn: Zach, I can't get the lid off my juice!

Zach: Did you just call me Zach instead of dad?

Jordyn: Well that's your name!!

I sent the girls to clean their room and then went in a while later to check. They hadn't touched a thing. I asked why they hadn't cleaned up when I asked them. Jordyn answered, "Cuz we're just little kids!"

Trey coughed so Jordyn said, "Cough you, Trey." Then she looked at me and said, "That's what you say instead of 'bless you' when someone coughs."

We were in the car and it was January and freezing outside. Jordyn said to me, "Will you roll down my window? I want you to cold me up."

St. George

We made a quick trip down to St. George with Mandy, Savannah, and Lauren for soccer. Lauren had a soccer tournament in Mesquite so they had to go for a few hours the first morning so we went to see Grandma and Grandpa. It wasn't as warm as we were hoping, but that didn't stop the girls from playing outside the whole time. Trey did great on the car ride there and back, slept the entire time! And he must be a St. George boy at heart. He slept thru the night all three nights, then was up 3-4 times during the night when we got home.

Little Jumper

I love the jumper almost as much as this little man! He will jump for hours a day, with a few naps in between when he wears himself out. And I get a free hand to get stuff done! Without fail, he ends up dozing off every time.

Poor little guy

Over Christmas break, Zach ended up with strep throat, both girls had coughs and colds, and Jordyn had a double sinus infection that turned into pink eye. I thought we lucked out with Trey only getting a little stuffy nose. Then once everyone went back to school, it all hit him. He ended up with pink eye so I took him in and the dr. put him on amoxicillin. Then he started getting a cough and cold. After a week on the meds he broke out in a huge full body rash. I took him back in and they said he was allergic to the amoxicillin. We took him off and it finally went away after a few days but the cough and cold lasted another week. We're finally on the mend after a miserable few weeks of no sleep and one sad baby!

Jord Quotes

Lately Jord says "Aw snap!" about everything! "Aw snap! Trey poohed!"

There are panhandlers on our freeway exit all the time. The girls asked what their sign said. I told them it said the lady needed money. Jordyn said, "Well we don't have any money to waste on her. Guess she's out of luck!"

The girls get out of bed over and over every night and never for a good reason. One night I was trying to get Trey to stop screaming and Caid came in to tell me something and I sent her back to bed. Zach went in to find out what she needed and she was trying to let us know there were lights on in the bathroom she could see under her door. I went in to tell her sorry for not listening and then explained that it was like the boy who cried wolf when they keep getting out of bed and then we don't listen when it's something important. Jordyn said, "So why did a wolf come in and turn on our bathroom light?" Not sure the point of the story went through.

Five Months

I can't believe how fast the months are flying by! This last one especially with all the holidays and parties to keep us busy. Trey is still a sweet little mama's boy. He still likes to be held all the time, but that's my fault. I'm just soaking in every second of him being little because they grow too fast. But I am ready to start getting some sleep so I've been trying to get him to sleep in his crib. Pretty unsuccessful so far but we'll keep working at it. As you can tell from these pictures, he sleeps great if someone is holding him. He just likes the cuddles! Still no rolling over, he may just skip to crawling. When I lay him on his stomach he tries to push himself forward with his legs and scoot. Nothing has cut thru, but I think he's teething. Everything goes to the mouth! We started him on rice cereal, but he was not a fan. My mom said we didn't add the secret ingredient, sugar. But he did like all the other baby foods we've tried. But not French fries. But he's mainly still nursing, which usually puts him to sleep, hence our napping problem. Once he falls asleep in my arms, I don't dare move him or he wakes up and now he's just used to cuddling in his sleep. There could be worse problems! He's happy, loves his jumper, loves the bath, is good in the car and on the go, laughs when I zip up his jammies every time, and is just about the cutest little guy ever!
