Trey's Big Boy Haircut

I've trimmed Trey's hair many times, but I could not part with those curls! But it was starting to get to the point where it was always in his eyes so I decided to go for it. I thought I'd start the clippers up and he would freak out so I would have to shave it all, but he loved them and sat still so I was able to give him the cutest little cut! But he looks like a little man appeared before my eyes! And it released his little troublemaker. A whole new personality has emerged.

Nursing School Graduation

He did it!! Zach is a nursing school graduate. It was a long/quick 18 months. Lots of studying, hard work, late nights, Big Gulp runs. We're so proud of him! Mandy was able to pin him at the graduation ceremony. He made lots of great friends that helped each other thru. Can't wait to see all the benefits that will come from this new change!

Vegas Vacation

Mandy's girls had a soccer tournament in Vegas so we loaded up the kids and headed down to the sun with her. We stayed with Micah and the girls loved playing with cousins! It was a quick, busy trip. We did make it to the strip twice, but only because we wanted to go to Carlo's Bakery from the show Cake Boss. We also did a little shopping. Trey is not a fan of vacations so he was tired and just wanted to be held. Which means I had to carry him all over the strip. He also cried most of the drive again. It may be a while before we brave another road trip. Caidence decided the Stratosphere space needle was her favorite. She called it the diabetic tower because it looks like a shot needle.

Happy NOON Year's Eve

Jodi and Don invited us to go bowling with them on New Year's Eve. All our kids had been trying to get over colds so I'd been up with Trey since 2:00 am. But we're always up for a party. Trey was mad anytime it was my turn because someone else would have to hold him. I finally started bowling with him on my hip and he thought it was the greatest thing ever. Then the kids started letting him push the ball down the ramp for them and by his third strike, they quit playing and let him takeover. Caidence went off soda for a year so she finally got her payout: $20. She's been begging ever since for a trip to the store to spend it.

That night we went to Simon and Natalie's for food and games. We ended up home in bed early with a bunch of sick kids. Caidence slept on the couch the whole time at Simon's and they all slept on our bedroom floor that night. New Years happened without us.

Merry Christmas!

We slept in until 8:30 and then went to see what Santa brought. The girls got everything they wanted and Trey decided he hates Christmas. Too many people, not enough sleep.

I (with A LOT of help from my mom) made Zach a quilt out of all his old college t-shirts.

He got the girls a pink BB gun. The second Caid opened it, she said, "I am not touching that. I'll shoot my eye out."

We had a great Christmas this year. It's my favorite time of year. I love the build up of it more than the actual day, the parties, spending time with family, all the traditions. By Christmas night, I was ready for order to be restored so the tree and decorations all came down. And Trey was really ready for the day to end.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at the Eldredge's we had appetizer night and then started on the white elephants. Caidence asked we could play the game where our presents don't get stolen instead. But in the end she was glad of the stealing because she kept picking bad presents.

Then we did the nativity story and sang songs with grandpa.

After grandma and grandpas we opened our Christmas pajamas and did Zach's knee gifts.

Alex and I made our trip to Target, but it seems like everyone found out our plan and it was crowded and the shelves were pretty bare. Kalee and Zach worked on the puzzle and we all (including the kids) finally made it to bed after midnight.
