Jordy Quotes

When I got to school to pick Jordyn up, she got in the car and told me, "Mom, I forgot to tell you I invited Mya and my best BFF Pressley over for a play date."
Me: "I'll have to talk to their moms. But I talked to Chloe and Dominique's mom and you get a play date with them Saturday."
Jord: "Oh, I love those girls that wear Pull-ups! They're my most favorite girls of all time!"

"You should sign me up for football cuz I just tossed the ball and I've got some really good moves!"

Jordyn had to say the scripture and prayer in Primary. She had the scripture memorized and said it herself. Then she asked the Primary President to help her with the prayer. I asked her why she needed help because she always says the prayer by herself at dinner and bedtime. (Granted it's the exact same prayer every time.) She said, "I only know the night time prayer. I don't know the day one."

Jord is a snacker and is so hard to get to finish a meal. She calls herself a "waster." One night she hadn't even eaten a bite and was complaining she wanted to be done. I told her I'd save it for her breakfast then if she wouldn't eat. Sure enough, the next morning I pulled it out for her for breakfast. Every time she'd take a bite, she'd force herself to gag. When I didn't say anything about it, she said, "Mom! Can't you hear it's choking me over here?!"

Caid Quotes

I got the girls a bowl of yogurt and granola for breakfast. Caid took a bite and said, "Wow! This is better than a rotten egg!" Thanks?

Jordyn always wants to say the prayer. When she asked if she could say the bedtime prayer, Caid said, "She just loves to pray. She's like the BFF to prayers."

Sisters

These two kill me! One second they are fighting, the next best friends. This was a conversation I overheard of them getting in a fight over a game:
Caid: You broke my heart into a million little pieces!
Jord: Too bad I'm plugging my ears and can't even hear you!
Caid: Fine! You're out of my club!
Jord: I'll start a pancake club. (Pause) Want to be in my club, Caidence?

Come on, Spring! We're going CRAZY here!!

We're getting cabin fever around here, counting down the days until we can spend all day in the sun, sidewalk chalk, bike rides, walks to the duck pond, play dates at the park, swinging on grandma and grandpas front porch. Until then, we'll take advantage of any peek the sun will give us!

6 Month Stats

Trey begged me not to take him in for shots, but I had to do it anyways. Not sure how I resisted that cute face!
He did great and only cried for a minute. He's doing great on development, now just to work on his sleep habits. But he's still my itty bitty scrumptious baby!
Height: 25.5 inches (5-10th percentile)
Weight: 15 lb 2 oz (5-10th percentile)
He was a little worn out from those shots! Sweetest cuddly babe!

Six Months

Happy half birthday!! It's insane how fast time has gone to get here. I feel like this little guy was just born and am shocked that he's already 6 months old! He is still spoiled/high maintenance as ever! Trey does not like to be alone. He does not want to be out down. He's content as can be as long as he's held. The girls hate when I lay him down to try and get things done because he just screams and cries. They try all they can to entertain him, but all he wants is to be in someone's arms! I'm hoping once he can crawl and get around on his own he'll be more independent. But as for now, don't expect to see my house clean because it's hard to do one handed! (And if 6 months flew by this fast, I'm taking advantage of all the cuddles I can get before he gets too old to want them!) Trey rolled over for the first time stomach to back on January 24. He kept doing it that weekend and then hasn't done it since. Now if I lay him on his stomach he just screams and pulls his knees under his chest and tries to push. He decided he no longer likes baby food and gags when I try and feed him. He'll take a bottle if he's desperate, but prefers to nurse, especially if he's tired and trying to go to sleep. He's getting grabby and grabs at everything, my phone, the remote, my food, my clothes or hair while he eats. He's scratched the girls faces and pulled their hair when they've gotten too close. He's still not sleeping thru the night or napping well. I've tried to let him cry himself to sleep but he'll cry and cry and never sleep. He's been sick for about a month so maybe we'll try again once he feels better. He's very alert and aware of his surroundings. If he hears a new voice, he'll look around until he sees who's there, especially if it's daddy.
