Caid Quotes

I was doing my mom's hair and Caid wanted me to get her something. My hands were covered in hair dye and I told her to wait. She said "Mother will you get it? Yes, I said Mother."

We were laying there and Caid was jumping all over the place. I said to her to just lay down and hold still. She laid down and goes "Ugh, this is ridiculous."

EVERY prayer: "Heavenly Father's day, bless the food, play with our friends. Amen." And if anyone else tries to pray, she yells at them "No, it's MY Father!"

Uncle Alex drives the shuttle bus at the hospital. I dropped her off to ride while I ran over to Costco. A lady got on the shuttle that had a band-aid. Caid said, "You have an owie?" Lady: "Yeah I got hurt at home." Caid: "Oh, it hurts when I get shots, too." Lady: "Why do you get shots?" Caid: "Cuz I have diabetes." She picks up on more than I realize. I never knew she knew the exact reason for her shots. But every time it's time to eat, she says "Check my bwood sugar." And she gets the meter ready, puts the glucose strip in, and hands it to me. She likes to pick which finger I prick, too.

Caid saw me shaving my legs and asked if she could shave hers. I said "No not until you're older." A couple of minutes later she said "Am I older yet?" I said "Ok, not until you're 10." So Zach came in the bathroom and I told her to tell dad when you can start shaving. "When I'm 4." I said "NO! When you're 10!" "Um, no when I'm 4."

Sisterly Love

Ready. Set. Almost there! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks. But we still move around just fine with a roll and a scoot.

"Mom, take our picture!"

"Now put Jordy on my lap."

"Jordy, hold still!"

"Stop Jord! Don't hit!"

"Mom, put her in her's bed."

Jungle Jim's

Jillian came into town so we got together with her and Indie and Teisa and her girls and took the kids to Jungle Jim's. I haven't been there in years! It hasn't changed one bit! :) But the kids loved it and we were the only ones there so the workers would just follow us around and put them on whatever ride they wanted as much as they wanted. And of course Caid had to ham it up for the camera in every picture.

Trunk or Treat!!

This was my first time going to a "Trunk or Treat" and I think it's GENIUS! Go to 20 cars in 5 minutes instead of 20 houses in one hour. We gave Caid her pillowcase and told her we were going to get lots of candy to put in it. She looked inside, said "There's no candy!" and chucked it across the room. But once we got there and she realized the trick to filling it up, she was all for it.
The coconut bra is to cover her "elbows."

7 Months

*Still the best sleeper in the world!
*Gets up on hands and knees and rocks, but no crawling yet
*Laughs hysterically at Caid, but everyone else just gets a courtesy laugh
*Loves real food and if you don't shovel it in fast enough, she lets you know she's upset!
*Holds her own bottle (which is one of my favorite days ever when I'm trying to get stuff done)

Witchfest

We took the kids to Gardner Village for our neighborhood playgroup. It was perfect weather, not very many people, the kids wore costumes,

did pony rides,

went to the petting zoo,

and even hit up the donut shop.

Then I went back with Teisa and her girls...and didn't realize it was UEA. It was packed! We waited in line for face painting, but after the line hadn't moved for 20 minutes, we gave up. And for some reason my pictures all turned out pink except for this one so all you get are our two goofy smily girls!

Zoo

We went to the zoo a few weeks ago for playgroup. It was about a week or two before Caid was diagnosed with diabetes. These first two pictures were taken that day. The whole time she was somber and tired and finally just asked me to take her home. The rest of these were earlier this week. Its amazing the difference in her. Its so nice to have her back to herself!

Sunday Bliss

Let me tell you how much fun church is with my THREE children. I think I may get asked to quit coming until they can learn to be reverent. In the first hour of church today, the following happened: first, Zach was playing mini golf on his phone (yes during church. It "helps" him concentrate.) Well he forgot to turn the sound down so while the bishop was speaking all of a sudden you hear the sound of a putt and then applause. Loud. Then Jordyn started pulling the girl's hair in front of her. Meanwhile, my mom does the music in Primary so she has a bag full of things she uses to teach songs. Caid found a balloon in the bag and blew it up, followed by the sound of a farting balloon while she let the air out. Jordyn then started getting fussy and screaming so Alex took her to the back and was standing with her by the door where she then started in on happy screams and squeals. Not five minutes after he took her outside, Caid found some pictures attached to Popsicle sticks in the music bag. She was playing with them just fine, but then started getting too loud so I asked her to be quiet, resulting in her flapping her arms like a bird, signs in hand, screaming, while I'm trying to grab the signs and quiet her, my hair flying from the windy sign flapping. Once we tamed the bird, Zach took her outside in the foyer where I later had to text him to keep Caidence quiet because we could still hear her screaming and playing outside. And even with all the kids outside, the Taboo buzzer started going off in the music bag. I fully earned my Mt. Dew and Chips Ahoy that followed church.
