Jordyn starts Kindergarten

Jordyn's turn! School 5 days a week, I can hardly believe she's old enough! She was so excited to finally start. She gets so bored being home without Caidence. She has Mrs. Wray this year and is doing morning kindergarten which means she gets to ride the bus. She got nervous the first day and wanted me to drive her, but I told her to ride with Caidence and I met her at the school to help her find her class. She loved it! The bus was awesome, school was awesome, and she's making lots of friends. Trey and I have a few hours all alone every day now so we went to Target and went to get a drink. Trey was so excited to pick her up from the bus, but mostly that he got to carry her backpack that was as big as him!

Caidence-2nd Grade

Caidence is a big (little) second grader! Still one of the shortest, but definitely big in personality! Her teacher this year is Mrs. Jones. Caidence said she likes her because she's pretty and curls her hair. She loves school, loves the bus, loves recess, loves reading, and staying busy. I miss her being gone all day, but it's nice getting a break from everyone fighting for a few hours. :) Trey refused to put pants on to go to the bus, but he had to have his jacket zipped and hood on. Some battles aren't worth the fight! And Jordyn was dressed up and ready to meet her Kindergarten teacher and do her evaluation, but was not happy about waiting a week until she got to start. 

Wheeler Farm Vogue edition

We went to Wheeler Farm before Jordyn started back to school. I didn't get any pictures of the animals, but Jordyn started striking poses when she found a cool tree. Haha!

Rideout Vegas Vacation

Our big Rideout vacation this year was down in Vegas. In August. Hot! We actually showed up the first day to flash flood warnings and flooded hallways from all the rain. The kids were sad they couldn't go to the pool so they swam on the balcony. We did pedicures that night and watched movies and Trey wasn't going to miss out. Luckily it cleared up the rest of the weekend and we spent most of it in the pools and lazy river. And lots of shopping and a trip to Carlos' Bakery to top it off!

Silver Lake

With only a week left of Summer, we had to get in all the fun we could. We headed up to Silver Lake with some friends. It was perfect weather, the kids played and ran, and then we fed them lunch and headed home to bed. Always a great start to the day!

Handsome little guy

This boy loves to be running around naked, all though I force him to keep a diaper on, but boy is he handsome when he gets all dressed up!

Kelly Clarkson Concert

Caidence loves Kelly Clarkson so when I found out she was coming in concert, we surprised her with tickets for her birthday. But then she had to wait 4 months. The day finally came and it was worth the wait! It was just Caidence and me on a date night. We went to dinner first and then headed to the concert. We got cotton candy and snowcones and had to listen to three bands (and take 4 bathroom trips) before Kelly Clarkson finally came on. Caidence was so excited! She danced and sang her little heart out! She kept giving me hugs and telling me how awesome this was. We left a little early (even though it was already 10:30) to avoid traffic, but we could have stayed all night. Such a great night!
