The girls were playing outside and next thing I know Jordyn comes running inside crying. She had thick black grease all over her nose. This girl hates to be messy! I asked her what happened and she said Caidence made her smell the garage door handle. Jord is usually the tease so this was probably Caid's way of getting back at her.
Our biggest battle everyday is getting Caid to clean up her toys/clothes. She acts like its the end of the world when I ask her. One day she said, "I wish adults weren't real and I had kids as my parents. Then they wouldn't care if I left out all my messes."
We went to Yellowstone this summer but Zach had to stay home for school so the girls wanted to pick out a present for him. They ended up buying him a pen that looks like a finger and when you pull it, it farts. Very fitting. So one night we were saying prayers and in the middle of the prayer, this pen started farting from across the room. Caid immediately said, "Please bless the fart finger will stop farting so everyone will stop laughing." Every night after that the girls thought it was funny to bless the fart finger wouldn't fart during prayers.
Caidence is a pretty profound little girl. I had said prayers with them and tucked them in bed one night and then she said to me, "When I pray, I can feel heaven all around me." I asked her what that felt like and she said, "Like I'm floating on clouds and all my family and friends are with me and I'm happy."
We were at Target and had been in the toy aisle. Caid found something she liked and next thing I know she was trying to put it in the cart. She said, "Here, pretend I don't see this. Then I'll act surprised when I open it on Christmas."
