Love Thy Neighbor, Love Thy Neighbor...

I have to keep telling myself this. Yesterday after work, Zach and I drove up to Idaho Falls to take some paperwork up to the restaurant. We got home about 10:30 to a note on the door from our neighbor behind us. It said that our air conditioner needed to be fixed and the screaching noise was bugging them. They couldn't even open their windows because the piercing sound was keeping them up all night and this was against the Davis County noise ordinance. These are the same neighbors that are always outside swearing at each other or having parties in their backyard and worst of all, have two weiner dogs that bark for hours on end for the past two years. We walked inside to a house that was 90 degrees. We couldn't sleep, Caid was up til midnight because she was sweating. I stripped her down to just a diaper and opened all the windows, but having the a/c go out on the hottest days so far is miserable! And it doesn't help to have such wonderful neighbors!

I'm finally back from Girls Camp, and hopefully will be able to relax and enjoy the rest of my summer. I have about 300 pictures from the last few crazy weeks that I need to go through and finally blog something other than just the project pictures, but that will take a while. Thanks to my parents for watching Caid the first half of the week and teaching her to say her prayers. I got home from camp, handed her some food, and she folded her arms and sat there and waited for me to bless it. She also (finally after weeks of trying) learned to say thank you in sign language. Guess I need to leave her with Grandma and Grandpa more often so she can learn the good tricks! Thanks to Allison for watching her the last half of the week and giving her an anatomy lesson. My 3 year old nephew was changing while Caid was in the room and she immediately looked right at him and started to investigate. He swatted her hand away and said "mine!" And thanks to Zach for the clean house and laundry done and not one, but two bouquets of flowers! He has warned me that I am NEVER allowed to leave him alone again. Not because he missed me but because of the exhaustion he felt after a week in the life of a mother!

Project 52-15

I missed last week since I was gone so you get two today! The day before girls camp, we loaded up the family in the motorhome and drove up to Meridian for the Iggys Grand Opening, had lunch, went to see "The Proposal", and headed back home. I thought Caid would love the drive, not having to be in a car seat. Wrong! I finally pinned her down and let her cry herself to sleep, but that was short lived.

Project 52-14

Too bad you can't see her purple lips! We went to Lagoon and swam until the rain hit. Too bad Lagoon hasn't heard of a water heater!!

Project 52-13

Caid would not sleep the whole weekend at the cabin. She might miss some of the party! If only I'd known day one this is all it would take, a cold bumpy 4-wheeler ride! (More pictures of our fun weekend to follow...)

Project 52-12

Caid likes to sit on the counter and help me get ready (and kiss herself in the mirror.) I moved all the cotton balls, q-tips, etc to the corner so she wouldn't pull everything out...But she managed to get to them anyways.

Looking at my schedule the next few weeks makes me want to rip my hair out. I can't wait for June to be over and it is just barely starting. My next few weeks involve hair appointments almost every night, getting the Meridian restuarant paperwork done, finalizing girls camp planning, and heading to girls camp on the same week Meridian is scheduled to open with no cell phone reception at camp (but this may be a good thing!) So until July...

Project 52-11

Nothing gets better than this! We are finally to the stage I love, cuddling with mom! Caid has never been one to fall asleep in my arms until lately and I'm taking full advantage.
