Jordy Quotes

We had to run Caidence to school and right when we got in the car Jordyn started crying for her Fifi (blanket.) I told her we didn't have time to grab it and we'd be right back. As soon as we got home, she walked into her room and saw it laying on the ground. In the same voice adults talk to babies in, Jordyn grabbed her blanket and said, "Hi Feef, I missed you! Miss me?" We always hear her walking around the house saying "Feef! Feef! Where are you, Feef?"

Caid Quotes

Caid woke up and came into our room the other night around 11:30. She said "I think I need to sleep in your room cuz I'm not feeling berry good and I've got the coughs cuz I swallowed a frog down my throat and I don't want Jordyn to get my isadease." Can't argue with something that thought out!

About 2 weeks ago I sold my stroller on KSL and then bought a new one on KSL. Then last week we sold our couch. So today Caid told me she wanted new princess pajamas so we should just get on KSL and find her some.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!

The other day I got to sit down with the filmmaker of "Sugar Babies" and watch some of the footage of what we have shot for Caid's documentary. We've been filming for about a year now and I just laughed watching it because I have a new haircolor in every scene, some with bangs, some without. And that was just one year. I've never been one to keep the same color for very long. My poor stylist before I started hair school, she always knew it would be a drastic change if she had an appt with me. She always said she got excited for me to come in because she got to do something drastic. Now that I do hair, I know she was lying. She was really thinking I was a pain. :) Luckily I was never very picky so I didn't worry that it would get messed up. So here we go in chronological order...

Al natural...almost. Maybe a little Sun-In sprayed in while laying by the pool.It all started by letting my friends mom bleach my hair by pulling strands through a bleach cap. That lasted a while until one night before a school dance I had Jodi do it. The only problem is we didn't leave it on long enough so it went orange! We ran to the store and picked out a color to dye the whole thing and got home, running out of color half way thru. We called one of my friends to go to the store for another box, all while the color is still on half my head so by the time she got back, who knows how long half had been processing. It turned out great, RED, I have no idea what color we were going for, brown maybe?, but Jodi wouldn't let me go to school the next day. My first real color was a bit of a shock. But it was only the beginning...Short and back to blonde...(with Hilary who everyone thought was my 6ft twin)Going thru my punk phase, a little on the darker sideLightened it up for my weddingRed and blonde on our first anniversaryStarted hair school and went very blonde. Too bad I didn't get a picture of the back, HOT PINK panelsI let one of my fellow hair students add some layers to my hair, resulting in about 8 inches having to be cut offAdded extensions for a few weeksNo more extensions, added redAnd all over red...gag!Back to the dark sideAnd on our way back to light!Very surprised I haven't gone bald by now, very blonde and redLess red, more darkMore dark than lightNow more light than darkAnd back to more dark than light, with bangs After trying it all, I still haven't made up my mind if I like being dark or light better, and there's times when I see my hair short and wonder if I should chop it off again, but everytime I do I wish my hair were long. Zach gets annoyed because I rearrange my furniture as often as I color my hair, but I'm a woman who likes change!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Holidays are much more fun with kids! The night before Valentine's, Zach and I spent an entire episode of the Bachelor blowing up balloons. Jordyn gave me the appropriate response the next morning when she saw it, a whispered "Oh, wow!" She just stared at them and grinned, and then jumped in to play. Too bad Zach was gone to work so he missed the appreciation of his handy work. Then the girls helped me make a pink breakfast, scrambled eggs and french toast. I don't love eggs as it is, but trying to cook pink eggs and tell if they were done? I burned half of them in the process just to be safe. And even then I wouldn't even taste them. Biting into a slimy egg? Gag! Even pink, they aren't appealing. The french toast was the same way. I couldn't tell if it was fully cooked so I burned it, and then couldn't get myself to eat more than a few bites for fear of biting into soggy bread. And I've wanted to get the girls their own chairs for a while but couldn't make up my mind. I found a good deal for some on Amazon, but it said they were on backorder for 4 months so I thought I'd go ahead and order them and then I'd have 4 months to make up my mind. Well, they made up my mind for me when I got an email that said good news, they were back in stock and received them less than a week after I had ordered them, right on Valentine's day. They also got some movies. I gave Zach root beer and pretzels (that shows love, right?) and he came home with a Victoria's Secret box...with sweats and chocolate inside! He knows me so well! He was probably sick of coming home everyday to see me wearing the same ones. Then today I went to exchange the sweats and, after fighting my kids for 45 minutes and trying to get Jordyn to quit pulling all the bras off the shelves and holding them up saying "Mom, it fits!" I finally left with no sweats. Shopping with kids definitely saves me money!

Cruisin' in the fancy van

My dad drives the shuttle for a retirement home and the other day brought it home for lunch. The girls were so excited to see "Crappa's" fancy car. He even let them go up and down on the wheelchair lift and took a spin around the circle. Caid couldn't believe how "amazing" it was!

New Year's Resolution

Just like probably everyone, I intended to work out more this year. Too bad that every time I try to do a sit up, I get a little girl who thinks it means it's time to jump on mommy's stomach. Or when I try and do any lifting, I have to dodge little heads since they insist on being attached.to.my.hip!

Dress Up!

Jordyn is at my favorite age so far of hers. She is getting so much personality! I never knew how she could compete with the bar Caid set, but she has managed. They are two of the cutest dang girls around! But this set of pictures makes me laugh so hard. I walked in to find Jordyn trying on all the skirts in their closet. But she couldn't quite manage to figure out how to get them on right. I just kept taking pictures of how cute it was watching her try them on. And how mad at me she was when I continued taking pictures when she stood up and couldn't figure out what was wrong and how to get out.
