Annual Eldredge Halloween Bash

We ate, we played games, we did the Wahlen's Haunted Nursery. As always, we had a fabulous time! But all the adults wimped out this year on costumes. But Trey and I rocked ours. Seeing as he's my little sidekick 24/7, Batman and Robin were all too fitting.

Playing at the Pumpkin Patch

I told Zach I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch this year. I found a Groupon for a corn maze and pumpkin patch in Syracuse, but we never had a free day. We either had other plans, or he was working at the hospital. He finally told me to invite someone else before it was too late. We took Angie and Tate and were there 3 hours and could have stayed longer if it wasn't so late. We had so much fun! The corn maze was short lived because the kids got bored, and probably embarrassed of our picture taking antics. But part of the pass included a bunch of slides, an animal train ride, a bounce house, and a hay ride out into the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin. We didn't realize we had to go pick your own because they had tons out in front for sale and once we found out we were ready to go home. We asked the worker and she said she'd let us just take ones from the front. There were some huge ones priced at $25. Leave it to Caidence to pick the biggest one she could find! I told them they had to carry it so Jordyn picked a little tiny one. Then we found a wagon so I told her she could trade, but she was pretty attached to her baby pumpkin.

All you need is love!

I was helping Caidence with her homework after school and she was not cooperating, just whiny and grumpy. I asked her if she'd had a rough day at school and she broke down into tears and said someone tripped her on the way to hopscotch and hurt her. Trey climbed on her lap and just kept giving her hugs and then he'd move her hair away to see if she was still crying. I love to see these kids love for each other, because it's usually short lived before it turns back into teasing and fighting.

Halloween Houses

Mandy has a friend in Daybreak that decorates the inside of her house for Halloween and lets people come walk thru. We took the kids to Chic Fil A and then went to see it. We found this other house on the way. The kids love having an excuse to dress up and play with cousins!

Helping Bampa

Grandpa was out in the garage working on the 4-wheelers and Trey heard him. He climbed down the porch steps and crawled all the way across the driveway into the garage yelling, "Bampa! Bampa!" After they got their work done, they had to take it for a test drive to make sure it worked. This boy needs to learn to walk, he's ruining the knees in all his pants!

Fall walks

The weather has been so nice so far this Fall! We've been going for a walk/bike ride every day on our way to go pick Caidence up from the bus stop and on weekends we get her and Zach to join us. We are taking advantage of all the sunshine we can get before the winter hits. Trey has to touch every leaf, tree, and rock along the way.

Jordy Quotes

I was taking Jordyn to go get ice cream while Caidence was at a friends house. On the way I told her I hadn't had lunch yet so I should probably eat first. She told me, "No you don't. You're an adult. You can eat whatever thing you want."
Jordyn loves talking to Siri on my phone. She told Siri her name was Jordyn and she wanted some cheese pizza from a restaurant. This was Siri's response. I couldn't stop laughing!

Caid Quotes

We were talking about how when we die and go to Heaven, we are perfect and we will be in our perfect form. Caidence said, "Then when I go to Heaven, I'm going to be 19 cuz that's the perfect age. Mom, what if you're 19, too, and then we'll be the same age? Or what if I'm older than you in Heaven?!"

I don't like (whatever food.) It's not on my tastebuds.

We always go in and check Caid's blood sugar when we're going to bed and she's usually been asleep a few hours. One night I went in and was trying to get her finger and she kept pulling her hand away. She finally, I thought, was awake and I said, "Caidence, give me your hand." She suddenly sat up in bed panicked, throwing her covers off, looking around saying, "Where is it? Where did it go?" I had no idea what she'd lost until finally she put her hand up in front of her face and said, "Oh there it is. It's cute."

I was telling the girls all the places I used to work. Caid stopped me and said, "Hold up! You mean every time I ask you what your job is and you say it's to be a mom and take care of your kids, you actually used to have a REAL job?!"

The face says it all. Trey can't help but tease and he was coloring all over and sitting on her masterpiece. She was less than thrilled.

Pickiest eater around!

Trey is a pretty picky eater and the only time I can get him to eat anything at all is by letting him feed himself. Mealtime has turned into quite the disaster lately. We usually end up bathing multiple times a day.
Aunt Natalie gave us some chocolate zucchini bread. Trey gave the nod of approval that it was pretty tasty!

Handi Quilter

My mom's work was filming a commercial and they had a bride that backed out a week before filming. My mom called and asked if I'd be up for an afternoon of getting hair and makeup done and filling in as bride. And it was pretty fun to pull out my old wedding dress for the first time in over 10 years. It was so interesting watching all that went into filming it! Can't wait to see the final product!
