Happy Easter 2013

I've decided that if I set the bar low and don't dye Easter eggs or carve pumpkins with my kids, then they won't expect it the next year. Then if I actually decide to do it one year, they'll just think I'm so fun! Good thing Grandma pulled thru for them this year and let them dye eggs. Most of the family with older kids were out of town so it was a little Easter egg hunt and party this year at the Eldredge's.
Then on to the Rideout's...where there was no shortage of little kids. Another Easter egg hunt and some playing with cousins.
The Easter bunny hit for round three when we got home. So much for setting the bar low. They got clothes, a Princess Barbie, shoes, candy...and the next day the Bunny remembered she had bought scooters months before that were still wrapped in the basement.
Love the Easter dresses!
And love the poses even more!!
The weather was so nice so we spent the afternoon out riding scooters and I decided to see if I still had any hula hooping skills. And yes, they are still there, bump and all!

Jordyn's Turn at the Dentist

Jordyn had a few cavities that needed to be taken care of so they gave her the loopy juice to knock her out while they did it. She wasn't allowed to eat before she went in and it made her so mad because Caid got to eat breakfast. Luckily she was excited to drink it since she was starving. She would not hold still and let it kick in! I kept trying to get her to lay down so that she wouldn't fall over and hurt herself, but once it finally made her tired enough, she wouldn't just lay down and relax, instead she started screaming bloody murder and kicking the walls. They had put us in this room with a bean bag to lay down on and a tv so they could relax and hopefully fall asleep, but instead people kept looking in to make sure this child was ok, kicking and screaming. They finally came and picked her up and as soon as they laid her in the chair, she was out.
After, they said she would probably be groggy and flu-like the rest of the day. She was only supposed to eat soft foods in case she felt nauseous so I got her soup and bread. This girl never eats! It's so hard to get her to eat anything other than a few bites at a time. She must have been starving because she was practically drinking the soup and ate her own bread, and then stole mine. The rest of the day she was perfectly fine and wild and eating anything in sight. Hopefully only positive dentist visits in the future, but unfortunately they inherited terrible teeth!
