Caid Quotes

Caidence remembers everything! And little details. We were talking about something that we'd done a few years earlier and she remembered all of it. I said, "Wow, you have a good memory." She replied, "Well I just keep it in my brain."

Zach has been sick and keeps fainting. We went to Costco and he was holding onto the cart. Caidence said to him, "If you faint, I will be so embarrassed by my own father."

The morning of July 24, we walked over to see my parents. Caid said to them, "What's your plan today? You always have a Halloween plan and a Christmas plan. What's your Pioneer Day plan?" Since they didn't have a plan, she decided Swedish pancakes could be the new Pioneer Day tradition.

Our Annual Summer Swim

The past few years we've had a few swim play dates at Teisa's with Jillian and their kids. Every year we've gotten this same picture and it's fun to look back on the old ones to see how much the kids have all grown! And this year we have two little boys to add to all the girliness! Reid is one year older than Trey.

Cousin Sleepover

I had a momentary lapse in judgment. We invited all the little Rideout girls over for a sleepover. But they actually did really good. We ordered pizza, but every single one of them wanted a different kind so we got one with all of it and made them just pick off what they didn't want. They were up until 11:00 and woke up at 6:00. It'll be a while before the next sleepover, long enough for me to forget how exhausting they are!

WCF Party

Kalee's work was doing their Summer party at Real Stadium. They were showing a movie and had drinks and popcorn. Since they were showing a cartoon and they don't have kids, they borrowed ours. It had been so hot and sunny all week. The night of the party it rained and was so windy!! All the popcorn was blowing all over the field. Trey loved it! All the popcorn he could eat before I stopped him. We didn't even make it half way thru the movie before we decided we were done with the wind and ready to go home.

Jordy Quotes

Trey was cuddling with me and Jord came up and tried lying with me. Trey started pushing her away. She turned to him and said, "Trey! Stop pushing me! She's my mom, too!"

Jord: How old are you?
Me: 31
Jord: You should be up in Heaven! That's an old number!
Me: Rude!
Jord: Sorry, but it is.

I pulled some soup out of the microwave and put it in front of Jordyn. It was steaming. She started saying, "Rabbit! Rabbit! Rabbit!" over and over to get the steam away. We had just been at the cabin and her cousins must have taught her that at the fire pit.

Caid: Your breath is gross.
Jord: And your attitude is mean.

We were talking about how when you go to Heaven, we are perfect again. No one is sick or deaf or blind anymore. Jordyn said to me in a worried voice, "But mom, you look cute with glasses! Will you ask Heavenly Father to let you put them back on?"

Happy eating!

Someone really enjoyed his spaghetti! I love this boy! Going from Jordyn who doesn't want any bit of her dirty, to Trey who smears spaghetti sauce in his hair, I'm definitely going to have some getting used to the multiple bathing a day!

Eleven Months

Oh, this boy. When did my baby disappear? He is looking so old in these pictures! And as you can tell, he doesn't like to hold still. Trey is my little koala. He just wraps himself around me and clings on my hip all day. But now that he's crawling, he is a little more independent. He loves to follow the girls around and see what they are doing. If they are playing Barbies, he'll take their Barbie car and drive it around. He loves cars! He loves blueberries and watermelon, and his new found love is splashing in the toilet or dropping toys in. Time to keep the bathroom closed! He finally got his first tooth the middle of June. Even with only one tooth, he manages to eat everything and anything. But his favorite game is to throw food on the ground when he's done. He still wants nothing to do with a crib. I finally just took it down so the girls could put their dollhouse in their bedroom. He'd rather nurse and cuddle to sleep. And the more I try and wean him of that and go to sleep on his own, the more he fights it. But look how cute and cuddly he is! He knows how to get his way already. He really is just the sweetest. His new favorite thing is to say "mom, mom, mom" all day long. He waves goodbye and waves to cars as they pass. And he loves to give out smiles at the store to any stranger who will talk to him. He's mastered the tantrum and still is not a fan of riding in cars other than his own. I can't believe it's almost his birthday. As fun as he is, it makes me so sad that my little baby is not do little any more!
