Silver Lake

The weather has been amazing for October! We've been in the '80's, still wearing shorts and t-shirts and playing outside until bedtime...and now the cold is coming! We headed up the canyon to Silver Lake with my friend Chaly and her boys. Other than being a little cool, it was fantastic! The leaves are gorgeous right now! The kids loved getting out and walking around the lake and feeding the ducks their cheerios. We told the kids to be careful and stay away from the water and they were being so good. Kacen was being so careful as he was feeding the ducks and tried to step around his baby, Kellen, who was crawling, but he tripped and fell right into the freezing lake! Luckily there was a step that he fell on so he didn't go further under, but he was soaked head to toe and freezing. We wrapped him in a blanket and he was a trooper the rest of the time.
