If you give a mouse a cookie...

BEFOREHave you ever read the story "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie..."? Well if not, it just goes on to say "If you give a mouse a cookie, then he'll probably ask for a glass of milk. If you give him a glass of milk, then he'll need you to read him a story. When you read him a story..." This is totally us this week. I have this nice spacious family room, but our tv wall was so bare (because some Samoan broke in and stole our tv :) ) so I decided I needed a new entertainment center for our small tv to take up some space. Well if you buy a new entertainment center, you need a new tv to put on it. If you buy a flat screen for downstairs, then you can't go watch your old regular screen in the bedroom so you have to buy a flat screen for upstairs! If you buy a new tv, then you need a new blu-ray player because you can't watch regular dvd's on it and not experience the best quality picture on it (huh Zach!) Well then we needed new shelves for our dvd's. Merry late Christmas to us!! But I love our new room!

Texting 101

So I get a call from Kalee this morning: Guess what mom texted Macy! (my five year old neice)
MACY: Hi grandma this hrs MACY what are you doing?
MOM: Went to breafast w dick and kc'now i an going home to sex. What yum doing?
MOM: I meant SEW!!! you get a good laugh. Or are you sacred to text of now? Or did your mom say you cant text of now?
BRITTNEY: I was beginning to wonder about you. Good thing i got the text before she did!

Sunny Las Vegas

We headed down to Vegas for the weekend for a tennis tournament. We stayed in the Excalibur and Kalee and Alex came down to play with me and Caid while Zach had to work.

She was so good! We took her all over the strip and she was happy as can be to be outside and in the sun!The real reason we were in Vegas...see, Zach was there with us!

Changing diapers on the way home. The drive home was in the middle of the storm so we were crammed in the car for 7 hours but had such a fun weekend!

She's on the move...again!

Zach usually works late so our nights are just usually me and Caid, usually spent cleaning, playing, and occasionally watching TV. Ok, I'm a TV junkie but we still get lots of playing in. Last night Caidence was playing around on the floor while I was catching up on some of shows. I figured she must be getting tired because it got really quiet. I looked on the ground and she wasn't there. I look around the corner of the couch to this precious view. She was so determined. With each step she would concentrate so hard! If she would slip, she would catch herself, then concentrate on regaining balance, reposition her feet, and try again.

When she finally made it to the top, she turned around so so proud of herself and had the biggest smile! Then she turned around and was ready to conquer going down head first by herself. Luckily I stopped her, and from this day on, my days of letting her play on the floor unattended for too long are over!

Naptime with Daddy!

As I was doing the post from this last weekend (below) I was going thru my pictures and noticed just how many pictures I have of Caid taking a nap with Zach. I thought I'd just let you in on a few. There's just nothing like a good nap with daddy!

Caidence isn't officially "crawling," like hands and knees, but she has mastered the army crawl.

I had on Jon and Kate Plus 8 while I was cleaning this weekend. She crawled right up in front of the TV and just laid there watching! So cute!

I'm only posting because Kalee is bored!

We've been pretty boring lately. After the holidays, we've gotten back to work. And lots of work! I've got all of the month end, quarterly end, and year end taxes to do for not one, but two companies, most of which I really don't know exactly what I'm doing despite all of my accountant schooling! On top of all of this, its the week I do payroll and bills which is a huge task in itself. And then I go home and have had quite a few hair appointments lately so needless to say, I'm ready for another vacation! Which I will get soon because I was just called to Girls Camp Director!
Kalee IM'd me from work the other day telling me to update my blog because she was bored and needed something to read. Although nothing really has been happening, its good to write the boring stuff because this is our family journal since I've given up writing in my own. However, I really should rename this "Caid's Blog" because that's about all that goes into it!

She just doubled over in my lap and fell asleep. What a cute stinker!Milk mustouche to the next degreeI laid her down for a nap and usually she cries herself to sleep. She cried for a minute and then was quiet so when I went up to check on her, definitely not asleep!If that's not the face of trouble, I don't know what is!Lately she isn't a fan of the bottle. And why would you be when everyone around you is eating real food? But she does love her Spongebob with a straw! So if all else fails, formula through a straw.
