Someone isn't a good secret keeper!

We told our family a few weeks ago, but were waiting on telling everyone else until we were further along. But Jordy got sick of keeping the secret and somehow got a picture of my snack and posted it to Instagram. Pretty soon I start getting all kinds of messages of people wondering if this was an announcement, if this was morning sickness, who is sick? I was so confused because I knew I hadn't posted anything on there recently so I got on and saw her lovely picture. So thanks to my technology savvy 2 year old, we are happy to announce baby #3! Jord wants a brother, but Caid said if it's a boy, we're sending him back. Luckily no sickness yet and we're almost to the second trimester! I was sick with both girls so maybe Caid is out of luck on this one!

Bieber Fever

We bought our tickets 6 months ago to see Justin Bieber and luckily bought them on the presale because once they went on sale, they were gone in 20 minutes. I went with Kristi and we had the time of our lives! We laughed at all the teenage girls bawling when he came on stage and danced ate cotton candy and sang all night. I ended up having one of my young women a few rows over from me and she got backstage passes to meet him and then Zach's cousins were a few rows in front of me. We must have been in the party section! I recorded a few of the songs for my girls and they listen to it over and over. Maybe they'll be lucky enough for me to take them when they get older!

Happy New Years!!

We popped open the bubbly with my parents and rang in the new year...at 8:30 pm. Then sent the kids to bed and watched a little tv and I think we might have made it to midnight? What a difference from 10 years ago when I was celebrating with all the other crazies downtown in the cold!

Baby, Oh! by Justin Bieber (rewritten by the Rideout's)

For Christmas every year, the Rideout's do skits. And it gets competitive. There is a ceramic pig with all the winners written on it as the coveted trophy. This year we had it in the bag, until Simon cleaned out the stuffed cow toy stash at Chic-fil-a and bribed everyone for his vote.

Jordyn loves Justin Bieber and calls him her boyfriend. She sings and dances to his songs all the time! So this song only felt perfect for our family skit. (And since blogger won't let me upload anymore pictures, I will have to wait on the rest of my posts I have waiting until I can figure it out.)

Caid: Hey girlfriend!
Jordyn: Hey what?
Caid: Who's your boyfriend?
Jordyn: Justin Bieber
Caid: What does he sing?
Jordyn: Baby, baby OHHH!!!

You know you love me, I know you care
Just shout whenever, and I'll be there
You are my love, you are my heart
And we will never, ever, ever be apart

I have a secret, Girl, quit playin'
It's big news. What are you sayin'?
There's another to add to our girls.
And Zach's stress level began to swirl.

Chorus:
We're having a baby, baby, baby, oh
A baby, baby, baby, no
A baby, baby, baby, oh
I'm glad you'll always be mine, mine
Baby, baby, baby, oh
A baby, baby, baby, no
A baby, baby, baby, oh
I'm glad you'll always be mine, mine

For you, I would have done whatever
18 months and clomid later
We're trying to play it cool, but couldn't wait to tell you
She's buying everything, the diapers need a whole wing

I'm sick to pieces, baby help me
Can't wait til August til this baby we get to see
I'm gonna be sick, sick, sick, sick
And I just can't believe the pills worked the first round

Chorus

Zach's rap:
When I was 27, I had my first kid
There was nobody that compared to my baby
And nobody came between us who could ever come above
Then Jordyn came, oh I was in love
They wake me up daily, don't need no Starbucks
They make my head pound
I miss my sleep when they sneak into our sheets
And I wish they'd sleep more sound
But I can't wait for the new addition
My kids drive me crazy but they're so amazin'
I may never get a boy, buy I just keep on prayin'

Chorus

Our sleep is all gone (Yeah, yeah, yeah)(Yeah, yeah, yeah)  Sleep's all gone (Yeah, yeah, yeah)(Yeah, yeah, yeah) Sleep's all gone (Yeah, yeah, yeah)(Yeah, yeah, yeah) Our sleep is gone, gone, gone, gone. It's gone.

(And really I haven't been sick at all this time around so hopefully I've lucked out and it won't hit!!)

Merry Christmas 2012!!

Christmas is so exciting with kids. I get more excited than them probably. My shopping is usually done by Fall and after seeing all the Black Friday deals, I realize that I made a good move. A lot of the presents I got during the Summer ended up being some of the big Black Friday toy items and I got a much better deal on them. So, me and the UPS man will continue to have a close relationship as I will be ordering my presents year round and trying to find places to store them!

Caid found a Santa hat and wanted to wear it the last day of school before the break. My friend was helping in her class that day and said she never took it off!
I knew the break would be killer on all of us. The girls were already getting whiny and fighting the first day so I pulled out some new dressups I had gotten them so they would have something new to play with and the TV would stay off. It definitely helped!
We had our annual adult dinner with the Eldredge's the weekend before Christmas, and the Rideout adult dinner the weekend after (which Micah drove up from Vegas and surprised everyone). We had a Ward Christmas party, the full Rideout family party we missed because we had sick kids, and Zach's company party. On Christmas Eve Eve we had the Rideout family party with dinner and skits. We should have won, but Simon bribed everyones vote with Chic-fil-a toys. For the Eldredge Christmas Eve party we had dinner and a pinata, white elephant gifts, and presents from Grandma and Grandpa. My girls both chose the white elephant gifts that we brought because they couldn't bear to see them go.Growing up the Rideout's had a tradition of sitting on their dad's knee and then going around the room and everyone said something nice about the person and then they got a dumb gift. We kept it up with everyone until the past few years when there got to be so many people it would go on for hours. So now each just do it in their own families. Our girls don't quite get the concept. When we asked them what they like about each other, their responses were "I don't like when she won't share. I don't like how she says she's not my best friend. I don't like when mom yells at me. I don't like when she's rude."
Then we got to open our Christmas Eve pajamas and head to bed! We have a tradition of doing a puzzle Christmas Eve while the kids are in bed. Every year it ends up being Kalee and Zach doing the puzzle and Alex and I watching. This year I bought a easy puzzle so I would actually help. It ended up being done in a half hour so they pulled out another harder one and I was done helping. Alex and I decided to go to Target to find a cord for his iPad and decided that's our new tradition. Everything is marked down like 70% Christmas Eve so we did some shopping and picked up Chinese food.
The girls loved their Christmas. Lots of pink! Barbies, babies, dolls, dollhouse, strollers, doll crib and carriers, makeup, jewelry. And then of course, lots of delicious Swedish pancakes to follow!

Jordy Quotes

"Mom, can I have a drink of your Dr. Pepsi?"

The kids were in bed and wouldn't stop fighting. They came out complaining about each other so I made them apologize and tried to send them back to bed. Jordyn asked if they could stay up and I told her no because they wouldn't stop fighting. She put her hands on her hips and said, "But we said sorry!"

"Caidence, move your shoes or I'm going to fart on them!"

Jord was putting on her shoes and was asking if she was putting them on the correct foot. My mom said, "That one's your right foot. What's your other foot called?" Jordyn answered, "My other foot."
