When Zach and I first started dating, he was considering going into medicine. But he was so involved in tennis and was still playing College tennis, then becoming the assistant coach, that he decided to keep going with his passion and try to become a College coach. He soon found out how hard those positions were to come by, but in the meantime had been made the Junior Tennis Director at his club and had built a huge clientele. Through all of this he had off and on talked about going into Nursing, but his boss was always making promises of things to come so he would put off talking about it. He finally got sick of the waiting around and after multiple injuries, mostly just from the everyday teaching, came home one day and told me he had made an appointment with a school counselor. He was thinking that he would look into it, and possibly start in the Fall. This was the second week of April. After meeting with the counselor and finding out they only accept 50 applicants each semester, and then calling around to every college in the valley and finding out they all have a 1-2 year waiting list as well as only a certain amount of applicants they accept, he decided to try and apply for the Summer semester instead. Which meant his application was due the next week. In that week, he got all of his immunizations, CPR certification, drug tests, background check, application essay written, placement tests...They told him it is usually a 4 week process to apply and he got it done in a week. And then he had to wait another week to find out if he made it. Everything just came together so quick and we are so excited that he got accepted on the first try! His graduation date is set at December 14, 2014. (And his first set of finals is set for the week our baby is due!!)
Jordyn was teaching him how to pose for a first day of school picture.
And I made him "smile" for one more on his way out. Caid is trying to tickle him because he was not overly happy to be getting his pictures taken.
