Grandpa Eldredge
going home...every newborn outfit drowns her!
Originally due March 29, but I had to have a c-section so we had it all scheduled for March 23. The week before I had planned to get the house clean, make arrangements for where Caid would be while I was in the hospital, get the bags packed, etc. Well of course Monday the 15th Caidence got the flu. I spent the entire day cleaning up throw up and holding her so we didn't get much done. Tuesday the 16th I did all the throw up laundry and cleaning and started packing. That morning though I started feeling like I was just done. I knew we most likely would not be waiting another week. I started packing and making a list of the last minute things I'd need to take to the hospital. That afternoon I cleaned and vacuumed out my car, went shopping with Kalee, and then came home and realized I had the flu from Caidence. I started throwing up and once Zach got home from work, about 9, I hopped in the shower. Good timing, my water broke right when I got in (or at least I thought...its hard to tell when you're in the shower.) Zach called my parents to come get Caidence and we were out the door. I was so excited for the scheduled c-section because I knew I could shower and do my hair and makeup before to actually look presentable in pictures. Instead I ended up going with wet hair in sweats and no makeup and sick with the flu. We got to the hospital about 10 pm and checked in. They had to put me on antibiotics because my strep B test was positive. They took us into the operating room and Jordyn was born at 12:16 am, just in time for St. Patricks Day, and all the way thru surgery I was throwing up. And no we did not name her Jade in honor of St. Patty's Day, it was already picked out. The dr's kept trying to convince us to name her Patricia but we passed.

Caidence loves her sister, but has had a hard time seeing me with IV's and bandaids and not being able to pick her up. She is doing a little better now that we are home, but if anyone comes to visit, she gets scared that they are going to take her to stay overnight. She is definitely ready for things to be back to normal.

Congratulations! She is so cute and Caid looks like a great big sister. I hope you are adjusting well, life is pretty hard with 2 but I'm sure as you know, it's worth it! Make Frank leave you alone while you recover too :)
Oh my gosh! You get a huge medal...giving birth with the flu. You are amazing! Congrats on a beautiful little babe though! Hopefully we can come visit sometime! Take care.
Congrats!! She is so tiny!! I am so happy that everything went well. And hope you recovered from the flu. She is absolutely beautiful, and i love her name.
I'm so so sorry you were so sick! That's awful!! I was throwing up during my c-section with Gretchen because of some medication they gave me, and it was horrible!
Jordyn is so tiny and precious!!! She's beautiful! Congratulations :)
Wow, that is quite the story but a beautiful ending! She is a babe! So teensy... love it! And can I just also take this time to comment on your 38 week belly picture... I seriously had to start at it for a minute to figure out if that was your belly. ;) You seriously are the littlest, littlest prego I have ever seen Michelle! Well I hope you are feeling better and everyone is adjusting.
Yay! I have been patiently waiting for a post about new little Jordyn. I am so glad all went well, except I can't believe you had the flu and were throwing up. That sounds awful. You are such a trooper! She is absolutely adorable and reminds me of Caidence already. We will get together soon. Hope you're doing well.
Congrats on the new addition! Jordyn is so cute and tiny. We wish you speeding recovery and hope Caid will figure out what "normal" is with a new sister!
Congrats! Why do not even look prego in the that picture of you at 38 weeks? You look like you are 4 months pregnant...not fair!
