For our 5 year anniversary Zach bought me a gun. Sweet, huh! So this past week we headed down to Vegas, actually to Pahrump, NV, for a 4 day defensive handgun course. Zach was like a kid in a candy store. We were out in the middle of the desert in 110 degree weather for 12 hours a day. Not quite the relaxing vacation I had anticipated. We learned how to shoot, clear your guns from malfunctions, check to make sure your gun is loaded in the dark, speed, accuracy, and anything else we never knew we needed to know in a gun fight. We had some awesome trainers, all past or current police or military, some work here full time, some just when needed as a hobby.
And did Caid miss us? OF COURSE! But she was plenty entertained staying with Jeremy and Brittney and all her cousins. Thanks again!!!! But our first day back she was playing with my keyless entry while I was loading her in the carseat and I didn't know it. I threw the keys on my seat, shut the door, went to open the driver door, and locked. Keys, baby, and phone all locked inside. Luckily we were at the office at the time and Papa Dan had the equipment needed in his truck (from several past experiences of his own) and was able to get it open.
