Aug. 24 - I'm leaving on a jet plane!

We were able to go to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for 8 days and it was amazing!! Some of Zach's clients have a condo there that they let us use. Caid has been talking forever about how her dream vacation is to go to Hawaii and build sand castles and see the dolphins. We found out we were going back in April and talked about it in front of the kids, but they didn't really know we were going until the morning we were leaving. We woke the girls up and told them we were going and Caid gave us the biggest hug and said "You are the best mommy and daddy ever! I bet Hawaii is just beautiful!" I bought the girls headphones, coloring books, notepads, colored pencils, treats, a Fisher Price IXL, but nothing is enough for a 2 year old on a 7 hour flight. They did pretty good, but wouldn't sleep and did not want to sit still! And before this trip I had never seen the inside of an airplane bathroom, but thanks to Caidence, our count is now up to 7. Yes 7!! 6 on the way there and one back. And about every bathroom in every store and restaurant in Hawaii. Our flight left at 11:00 am and got in just in time for us to pick up our rental car and get the condo for bedtime.
